Turn a House Into a Home With Wall Picture Frames
So you've finally found a place to live that you consider to be more than just a temporary arrangement that is to be tolerated until you move on again. Congratulations! This is one of life's milestones. Many people might call such a place a home. It may not feel like home, however, and this impression is normal. It may continue for months, leading you to wonder how you got here in the first place. One way to 'settle in' more quickly is to add your own personal imprint to the place permanently, and that is where wall picture frames enter the picture, so to speak.
No doubt you have favorite prints or photos that, while impressive, mean more to you than they ever will to anyone else. Family photos, favorite impressions of that vacation you remember so fondly, and other images important to your life are not well served by push pins, tacks or adhesive tape.  These are temporary methods born of necessity, and can lead to the self imposed impression that one is merely camping out again, although in a new place. A modest investment in picture framing can quickly change that notion, while helping to protect the images that are so integral to one's sense of self.
Wood remains a favorite material for constructing frames, and it imparts a mellow richness to the room. Black or white frames should be used with attention to the subject matter. Digital frames are new, and can add a fresh dimensions to worn images like graduation photos. Rustic frames may be best for displaying old documents, while silver frames can preserve wedding announcements and the like. Even if the budget will only allow for cheap hanging frames, picture frames beat adhesive tape and tacks hands down for turning a house, or other form of domicile, into a home.
While we are speaking of wall picture frames, a few words about hanging them may be in order. A favorite method for sighting locations is to use an accomplice to hold the picture near various walls in the home, to give an idea of what will look best. Once the largest, or single most important picture has been located regarding position, repeat the process with the next one, and so forth. A visit to a hardware store that employs helpful sales assistants will provide everything you need to keep the pictures on the wall, regardless of size or weight.
